J Rythm So Cal Native

Johnny Garcia, professionally known as J Rythm, is one of Los Angeles’ leading club DJ’s. While music is what motivates him, the energy from a live crowd, and the loyalty of his fans is what keep’s him spinning. You can catch him tearing the club down all over Los Angeles on any given night!

J Rythm, a So Cal native, got his first break spinning at a club in Hollywood. Since then, he’s been sought out by the elite Hollywood club scene.

In the summer of 2006, J caught wind of a new radio station coming to Los Angeles, Latino 96.3 fm. Amongst thousands of applicants that auditioned for the station, he was one of the few to be selected as a weekend mixer. 4 years later, J Rythm became the Mix Show Coordinator for the station, and an On-Air Personality/DJ with the #1 radio show in the market. He has since left the station to expand his brand and reach. “I feel like my fans are asking for more from J Rythm”, He says, “Without them I would be nothing. I gotta give ‘em what they want!”

Many rewards have come for the hard working DJ. He was asked to produce a mix for Metro PCS called Metro Master Mix, which included exclusive remixes by J Rythm. World known leader in DJ gear, Numark, approached him to be a spokesperson for their new product, the Numark V7. Jagermeister followed suit and offered him a sponsorship deal.

All these accomplishments didn’t go unrecognized. At the 2010 Latin Mixx Awards in New York, he was presented with the 2010 West Coast Latin Mixx DJ of the Year award. “I’ve never won an award before,” J says, “I couldn’t believe it. It feels really good when you know your hard work is not going unnoticed.”

2011, J Rythm, hit a landmark in his career landing the official remix for Prince Royce’s hit song Corazon Sin Cara, launching him as a certified remixer/producer. Since then he’s remixed songs for Caroline D’Amore & Natalie La Rose, Stonebridge, Tito El Bambino, Maroon 5, Nick Cannon, Akon, Gloria Estefan, and Juanes. Lexus later approached him to be apart of their remix compilation, The CT Remixes for their marketing initiative with the Lexus CT Hybrid along side Dave Aude and L.A. Riots.
