Idiots is a 2026 American comedy film. Written, produced, and directed by Macon Blair, starring Dave Franco, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Mason Thames, Kiernan Shipka, Nicholas Braun, and Peter Dinklage, with Killer Mike also appearing in a supporting role.
The story follows two down-on-their-luck men who must team up to deliver a wealthy, troubled teenager to rehab for a sketchy transport outfit.

The project began life back in 2017 under the title The Shitheads. Originally set to star Luke Wilson and Tracy Morgan, but went through several cast changes over the years Ron Funches replaced Morgan in 2018. By 2025 the lineup had shifted entirely to Franco, Jackson Jr., Dinklage, and later Thames. Filming took place in Paulding County, Georgia in fall 2025. The film premiered at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival under its original title before being retitled Idiots ahead of its U.S. theatrical release on August 28, 2026. Independent Film Company.
